Clean Eatz Comes to Cranberry
Healthy is just a 'street' away thanks to the arrival of Clean Eatz
The casual fast dining establishment in the Streets of Cranberry focuses on delivering a “lifestyle approach” to eating healthy.
The café opened in mid-February and is one of five locations under development in the Greater Pittsburgh area. The menu includes a variety of bowls, salads, flatbreads, wraps, and smoothies, as well as healthy burgers, pizzas, and snacks that customers can enjoy in the restaurant or ordered to-go.
A centerpiece feature is the convenient online meal plan service. Each week, customers can design a meal plan based on their dietary restrictions, lifestyle, or fitness goals. Every meal – whether included in the weekly meal plan, picked up from one of the Grab-N’-Go coolers, or ordered at the counter – is prepared with a balance of protein, carbs, and fats in mind. Many of the meals are also customizable for customers seeking a low carb or vegetarian diet, or those looking to gain muscle through extra protein.
The man bringing Clean Eatz to the area is franchise owner Darryl Duncan.
“My goal in bringing this concept to Pittsburgh was to make a difference in people’s lives – that can come in the form of healthy eating options, but also in the context of being affordable and convenient,” Duncan said. “We offer a well-balanced meal that is more affordable than most fast food.”
The aspiration to change lives is a founding principle behind Clean Eatz. The company held its fifth annual We Change Livez Challenge earlier this year, encouraging participants to share their improvement stories via social media and within their café communities. A lucky winner from each Clean Eatz community won 12 weeks of meals and was entered into a drawing to win the grand prize of $25,000.
It’s just one more way Clean Eatz is working to improve the health and wellness of Cranberry Township.
