PennDOT's Route 19 Project Begins

PennDOT’s seven-month project to resurface Route 19 through Cranberry Township kicks off April 5.

The project includes the resurfacing of 7.4 miles of Route 19, as well as milling, patching, paving, leveling, binder/wearing courses, and minor drainage/guide rail upgrades and other miscellaneous construction.

Work will occur from the Allegheny/Butler County Line to above Zelienople at the Jackson/Lancaster Township border.

There will be short term single lane traffic restrictions in the Cranberry area from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and from North Boundary Road to the Northern Limits from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Short-term utility traffic control may be used nights and weekends weather dependent.

This $8,401,404 project is expected to be completed in November 2021 and is being completed by Lindy Paving Inc. of New Galilee, Pa.
