Make It Happen At the Forge_Revised

Learn a new skill at The Forge!

Our maker workshops are designed to introduce you to the technology we have to offer in The Forge:

  • Discover the creative possibilities of the Cricut maker with our free Cricut classes! Then, come to our Cricut Design introductory class, where you can learn the software skills necessary to use the Cricut Maker.
  • We also offer free demos of our laser engraver and 3D printers
  • Take a CorelDRAW workshop to learn the foundational skills needed to use our laser engraver for your own future projects.
  • Learn the basics of our Brother Embroidery Machine at our one-on-one Machine Embroidery 101 classes.

We also offer a wide variety of artistic workshops focused on painting, sewing, jewelry making, floral arrangement and so much more! See The Forge class schedule here.

FORGE logoDream, design, collaborate and create at The Forge

Thanks to our generous donors and CTCC, The Forge has been open since 2021. Similar to makerspaces in our schools, our space features a laser engraver, 3-D printers, computer-controlled cutting machines, an embroidery sewing machine, electronics and a variety of specialized hand tools for crafting.

Library patrons are welcome to register for classes. After demonstrating mastery of the equipment, they will be able to design and create their own projects. Experience isn’t required! We’ll teach you to use the equipment. The Forge offers a safe, creative space to learn, create, explore and come together with other makers.
