CTCC – the Cranberry Township Community Chest – has been selected to receive the prestigious Community Champion Award from the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society. PRPS is a statewide organization of recreation professionals representing state parks, universities, the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and municipal governments. The organization’s Community Champion Award, which was announced February 26, recognizes individuals and groups who, through their volunteer service, have made significant contributions to their local parks, recreational programs, and facilities. The award will be presented at the PRPS annual awards banquet during its state conference on March 24, in Lancaster. Everyone attending the conference will see a slide presentation highlighting CTCC projects. For more information, contact Parks & Recreation Director Pete Geis at pete.geis@cranberrytownship.org.
