At 6:00 PM on Monday, July 30, Cranberry Township Manager Jerry Andree together with Parks & Recreation staff members, will review the safety measures currently underway as well as new initiatives being implemented to prevent drowning accidents in the Cranberry Community Waterpark. No drowning deaths have ever occurred in the Waterpark’s 20-year history. However, during just the first half of the Waterpark’s three-month 2018 summer season, lifeguards rescued 64 people in trouble – mostly children. No reservations are needed to attend the July 30 gathering, which will conclude with an hour of free swimming between 7:00 and 8:00. For planning purposes, however, an RSVP to 724-776-4806 x1089 would be appreciated.
