"A Matter of Balance", a program developed by Boston University and offered by Cranberry EMS is designed to help people manage their concerns over falling by encouraging participants to increase their activity as part of a strategy for controlling falls. In addition to setting activity level goals and teaching exercises to increase strength and balance, the class will focus on making changes in the home to help reduce the risk of falls
The eight-week class, called A Matter of Balance, begins Friday, November 2 in the Municipal Center. It is free to anyone who has a subscription to the EMS service, $25 for everyone else. Each weekly class lasts two hours, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, except for the day after Thanksgiving.
