From humans to their four-legged friends, a Township property that formerly served as a gym will now provide exercise – and boarding – opportunities for pooches.
Dogtopia, a doggie daycare facility, will take over 802 Thomson Park Drive, a 5,300 square foot building that was previously a fitness center. It will house two outdoor activity areas for large and small dogs specifically, surrounded by an 8-foot fence.
The Board of Supervisors gave conditional use approval to the plan at the May 27 meeting following a public hearing.
As part of the conditional use approval, the developers will use sound-reducing material to minimize noise.
