An agreement between the Township and Harmony Fire District will help continue rapid response to emergencies.
The Board of Supervisors on June 28 authorized an agreement with the Harmony Fire District for the use of the Fire Chief's vehicle under certain circumstances.
The agreement states that it is mutually beneficial to have such an agreement, in which the Township’s 2022 Ford F-150 can be used by Chief of Fire and Emergency Services Scott Garing. Garing also serves as the Chief for the Harmony Fire District on a volunteer basis.
The vehicle can only be used before or after his Township duties, and only for official Chief business for the Harmony Fire District. In return the district will pay a yearly fee to cover maintenance and operating costs.
