Continued focus on maintenance and upkeep at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course will help the pristine facility stay in top shape.
A contract with E.H. Griffith Inc. to complete an irrigation control system upgrade for Cranberry Highlands Golf Course was approved during the Board of Supervisors’ February 1 meeting.
The existing irrigation system, including software, was installed when the course was built 22 years ago. By using new technology, staff will have more precise control of run times and can be adjusted via a mobile app. Station-based flow management based on hydraulic piping will allow run time windows to be shortened and allow pumps to run more efficiently.
Elsewhere, the Board will consider purchasing three fairway mowers from E.H. Griffith Inc. While the mowers are not expected to arrive until 2025 at the earliest, approval is needed to begin the process.
