A proposed revision to Phase One of the Master Plan for the Village of Cranberry Woods – the 57-acre property at the southwest corner of Franklin Road and Rt. 228 – would include a new 116 room hotel and a 7,000 square foot restaurant, in addition to the Hilton Garden Inn currently on the site. Phase One of the property is owned by Creative Real Estate; the remaining phases were sold to the Madison Group earlier this year. The development will witness significant changes from the project’s original vision, which had included the UPMC/Penguins facility now under construction as part of Cranberry Springs, a mile away. A public hearing on the proposed change will resume on Tuesday, June 24, at the developer’s request.
