There’s a lot happening with Cranberry’s Fire Company these days. Implementation of a new strategic plan calling for changes in its organization, staffing, and station facilities is now well underway. At its October 5 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved a proposal for design services from RSSC Architecture related to a station upgrades that would add six private rooms and a bunk room for as many as 12 firefighters to remain on call overnight. Other changes include locker rooms and a fitness area as well as additional administrative space. Interior updates to the Haine School Road fire station are also planned.
